Hello and thanks for visiting "more than a fruitcake!"

My name is Laura , I’m a twenty something living in Bonny Scotland who graduated in Fashion Business.

I first discovered blogs a few years ago and since then have developed a bit of an obsession with them (perhaps a bit unhealthy), particularly food blogs and have been inspired to create my own.

I’m a new found vegetarian interested in healthy living and nutrition and believe that all foods can be enjoyed in moderation (although I must admit I don’t always practise what I preach although not as you might think - hence the fruitcake reference!)

I’ve always been pretty creative and am an aspiring illustrator and photographer and currently studying an illustration course with a view to completing another degree. My progress on the course and learning blog can be found at http://eyestoillustration.blogspot.co.uk/

I’m a keen amateur baker and love trying new recipes and finding new products and hope to share these along with any other creative ideas. I’d like to improve my photography skills and hope that you’ll bear with me on my journey.
